Obituary of Carolyn F. Spikes
Carolyn Spikes was born in Lima, Ohio on Thursday, September 3, 1953 to Willie Walter Fisher, Jr. and Ruthie Mae Caradine and departed this earthly life on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at the age of 70. She was married to Andre B. Spikes, who preceded her in death.
Following her graduation from Lima Senior High School "Class of 1971", Carolyn moved to Columbus, Ohio and over the years she lived in California and New York. In 2018 she returned to her hometown, Lima, to enjoy her retirement years. Carolyn loved learning and in 1998 she graduated from Franklin University with degree in Human Resource Management. She was a nationally certified member of the Society for Human Resource Management. During her career she was employed by JP Morgan Bank, Nationwide Insurance, Spectrum Charter Communications, and she retired from Target in 2018.
Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory: her son Andre B. Spikes of Las Vegas, NV and her daughter, Andrea K. (Marcus) Hampston of Columbus, OH. 4 Brothers: William E. (Lina) Pitts and Walter A. (Lynda) Pitts both of FL; Tommy (Lorraine) Pitts of Lima, OH; and Afelix Fisher of Dayton, OH. 3 Sisters: Betty J. Anderson and Pearlie Fisher both of Lima, OH; and Lillie Rowe of Columbus, OH. 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Carolyn was preceded in death by both parents; 1 brother: John H. Pitts and 2 Sisters: Annie Naomi Martin and Lula B. Ware.
Home Going Services will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Tommy Pitts officiating.
Visitation/Wake services will be held on Monday, May 6, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Entombment: Woodlawn Mausoleum
