IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carolyn Ann
Jackson (Lyle)
January 28, 1951 – March 15, 2026
Visitation
Funeral Service
Mrs. Carolyn Ann (Lyle) Jackson, age 75, peacefully transitioned on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at The Ohio State University.
Carolyn was born on January 28, 1951, to the late Frank L. Lyle and Ethel L. Parham, who both preceded her in death. On May 4, 1974, she was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Gay E. Jackson. Together, they shared 51 beautiful and devoted years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, faith, and family.
From this union, four children were born: Christopher D. Jackson of Port St. Lucie, Florida; Dion M. Jackson of Lima, Ohio; LaTonya D. (Jay) Jeter of Dayton, Ohio; and Melissa S. (Dennis) Patterson of Toledo, Ohio.
Carolyn leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving husband, Gay E. Jackson; her children; three siblings, Keith L. (Connie) Lyle of Pontiac, Michigan, Patricia R. Gademer of Jacksonville, Florida, and Mary J. Turner of Washington State; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by two siblings, Diania L. Rowe and Barbara E. Ware.
Carolyn dedicated many years of her life as a private duty nurse, where she was known for her compassion, gentle spirit, and unwavering care for others. Where she formed a meaningful bond with Briana Miller, whom she loved and cared for as family. Carolyn found great joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, traveling, and visiting casinos—simple pleasures that brought her happiness and connection.
A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Greater Christ Temple, 511 E. Second Street, Lima, Ohio. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 12:00 pm.
