Mr. Buster Rozier, Jr., age 83, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at approximately 11:18 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health Systems.
Mr. Rozier was born on July 22, 1930 in Omaha, Georgia to the union of Buster Moses and Ophelia Clayton Rozier, Sr.; both parents preceded in death.
Buster lived in Columbus, Georgia before joining the United States Army in 1952 where he was a recipient of the Korean Service Medal, Bronze Star, United Nations Service Medal National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of U.A.W. Local Union 211. He retired from General Motors Corporation after 33 years of services.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory a son: Steven Washington (Lima) from Lima. Two daughters; Gwendolyn of Cleveland, OH and Cecelia of Atlanta, GA. Three grandchildren. Two special caregivers; Dr. Patricia Freeman and Richard McDonald both of Lima. A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two sisters; Pearl Carter and Rose Lee Furlow.
Services will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Donald Byard, officiating.
Visitation/Wake services will begin at 11:00 a.m. until time of services on Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. The family will be present from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m.
