Brother John Lewis "Po John" McDonald, Sr., age  64 , passed from this life on Monday, January 2, 2017 at approximately 3:24 p.m. at Lima Memorial Health System.

He was born on November 27, 1952 in Lima, Ohio to the   union of Arthur and Delores (Martin) McDonald; both      parents preceded him in death.

On October 21, 1981 he was united in holy matrimony to Catherine (Hobbs) McDonald, she survives in Lima.

Brother John worked as a self-employed Mechanic.  He was a member of Greater Christ Temple  and he also served in the National Guard.

Besides his loving wife Catherine he leaves to cherish his precious memory 2 sons:  John L. Horace of London, Ohio and John L. McDonald, Jr. of Lima.  3 daughters:  Andrea Hicks (Peanut) of Detroit, MI.  Dionne Shook and RaKena Green both of Lima.  14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  4 brothers:  Michael McDonald (Janie),      Fabian McDonald, Kevin McDonald and Ronald McDonald all of Lima.  6 sisters: Ruby Woodley (Phillip), Michelle Meeks (Melvin), Beatrice Walker (Larry), Ella Frye (Tim), and Shenise Meeks (Lee) all of Lima.  Sherry Fisher of Toledo, OH.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by 2 sons: Steven McDonald and Quincy McDonald.  A brother:  Rockland McDonald
