Ms. Brigitte Arnett Horton, age 51, went home to be with the Lord on  Friday, August 14, 2015 at approximately 2:50 a.m. at  St. Rita's Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on December 7, 1963 in Lima, Ohio to the union of Rev. Robert and Patricia A. Gladen Horton.  Her father survives in Lima and her mother Patricia A. Bulls and stepfather Alvin L. Bulls also survive in Lima.

She was a member of Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church.  She enjoyed arts and crafts, and  painting ceramics angels and Jesus figurines, and crocheting warm and cozy blankets, as well as, teaching others, who also become eager to learn the arts and crafts. The evidence of her work can be found in the homes of her family and her friends.  She can be known throughout the city for her love for gospel music.  She was a part of choirs and various singing groups; singing "Sign Me Up" in her youth with her sisters and youth church choir to "Precious Lord" one of her favorites.   She had a gift to help, she would see a need and go beyond the ordinary to help someone else.  She can be noted as saying, "I don't have much, but here you take this, you need it more."

She was a 1982 graduate of Lima Senior High School, who while there achieved a 4.0 GPA in the Vocational Nursing Program.  She later received an associate's degree from University of Northwestern Ohio in Business.  She tutored students on campus and at the high school level.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory 5 sisters:  Roberta Burch (Emanuel) of Sun City, FL.  Tolando Horton of Chicago, IL.   Wanda Horton-King and Patsy Horton both of Muscle Shoals, AL.      Beverly Ridley (James) of Goodlettsville, TN. 2 brothers:  Bobby Horton and Kyle Horton both of Lima, Ohio.  A special friend: Leonard Carter.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: John B. and Anna Mae Roddy Gladen, Sr.  Paternal grandparents: Robert D. and Harriet Nash Horton.
