Beverly Kay "Katie" Russell, age 57, went home to be with the Lord on May 9, 2014 at approximately 12:45 p.m. at her residence in Lima.

She was born on June 17, 1956 in Lima, Ohio to the union of Cenious and Hattie Moore Russell, Jr., both parents preceded her in death.

She was formerly married to Albert McDowell, Jr. who also preceded her in death.

Ms. Russell was a Homemaker and she was formerly employed at Shawnee Manor.  She was a member of Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory; two sons; Albert McDowell, III and Allen McDowell both of Lima.  A daughter;  LaKesha McDowell of Lima and nine grandchildren.  Two brothers; Jimmie Russell (Barbara) and Frederick Russell (Diane) both of Lima.  A sister; Maxine Young (Fred) of Lima.   A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a brother; Clifton Russell and two sisters; Lucy Russell English and Catherine Russell Cole.

Home going services will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Toney, officiating.

Visitation/Wake services will begin at 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 10:00 a.m. at the Church.
