Mr. Benjamin Carter, age  81 , passed from this life on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at approximately 11:39 p.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.

He was born on August 26, 1935 in Town Creek, Alabama to the union John and Annie (Goodwin) Carter; both parents preceded him in death.

He was united in holy matrimony in 1958 to Dorothy M. (Patrick) Carter who preceded him in death in 1982.

Mr. Carter retired from General Motors Corporation; he was a member of U.A.W. Local 211.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory  a son;  Ricky L. Carter of Lima.  A daughter; Pamela D.  Carter of Columbus, Ohio.  A granddaughter;  Dorothy Meadows of Columbus, Ohio.  A host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter; Diamond M. Meadows. 5 brothers; Charles Carter, John Carter, George Carter, Wallace Carter and James Carter.  3 sisters; Mila Conway, Lizzie Carter and Ruth Carter.

Services will be held on Saturday,  December 3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. John E. Kidd,  officiating.

Visitation/Wake services will be held at 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 10:00 a.m. also at the Funeral Home.

Interment:  Woodlawn Cemetery
