Barbara Lucille Bennett, age 81, passed from this life on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at approximately 1:33 p.m. at her residence in Toledo, Ohio.

She was born in Lima, Ohio on October 18, 1936 to the union of Eldridge Scott and Fannie (Ward) Fields; both parents preceded her in death.

On June 14, 1975 she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Matthew Bennett who preceded her death on August 17, 2005.

Mrs. Bennett was a Homemaker.  She was brought up in Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church.  She loved to cook and loved her family.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory a daughter; Ava Lynette Anderson of Columbus, Ohio.  2 grandchildren; Lamar D. Anderson and LaVeda E. Anderson.  3 great grandchildren.  2 special nieces; Natasha Allen (Jerry)  and Desiree Fields.  2 brothers;  Joseph L. Fields and Floyd E. Fields both of Lima.  5 sisters; Alice Gatewood, Patricia Musgrove and Donna Fields all of Lima.  Betty Smith of Kansas City, MO and Loretta Mobley of Detroit, MI.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by 4 brothers; John Fields, William Fields, Howard Fields and Albert H. Fields.  A sister; Ruth Penager.  3 sisters-in-law; Irene Fields, Dorothy Fields and Rosalee Fields.

Home going services will be held Monday, January 22, 2018  at 12:00 p.m. at Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Nathan Madison, officiating and Rev. Earnest Stephens, Jr., eulogizing.

Visitation/wake services will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc.  from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
