Barbara Louise Banks, age 66, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at approximately 9:00 a.m. at her residence in Lima.

She was born on May 9, 1947 in Pearisburg, Virginia to Woody Banks and Minnie Davidson, her parents preceded her in death.

Ms. Banks was a Homemaker.   She was a member of Only Believe Ministries where she was an Altar Worker and a part of the Nursing Home Ministries.  She loved to volunteer at many soup kitchens and was generally a help of anyone in need.  She would always encourage people and her favorite saying was "don't give up God is working it out".

She leaves to cherish her precious memory a son,  Corinthian Banks of Lima and a brother; Willie Slash of Lima, other relatives and many friends.

Home going services will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Only Believe Ministries in Botkins, Ohio,  Rev. Peter Doseck will be  officiating.  Visitation/Wake Services will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where the family will be present from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.
