Mrs. Augusta "Baby Dee" Thompson,  age 78, passed from this life on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at approximately 6:49 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health Systems.

She was born on May 27, 1943 in Yazoo, Mississippi to Carl Davis and Ella Ree (Fisher) Petty, Sr.; both parents preceded her in death.

She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Tate Thompson, Jr., he preceded her in death on August 20, 1980.  She then married Mr. Cantry Island, Sr., who died on August 14, 2009.

Mrs. Thompson was a member Philippian Missionary Baptist Church.  She loved to work around the kitchen and enjoyed her family.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory 4 daughters; Dolly M. Thompson, Cordelia Thompson (Doug Everett), Linda and Franklin Nwoke of Lima.  Jacqueline Island (Tobias Griffin) of Columbus, OH. 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. 6 brothers; Carl D. Petty, Jr., Charles Petty (Armin), Willie Petty, Arthur Petty (Roxanne), Leroy Petty and Luther Petty all of Lima.  A special nephew; Decarlos Petty of Atlanta, GA.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter; Ruby J. Thompson.  A grandchild; Tyron Lott.

Home Going Services will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Bruce Monford, officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. also  at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc.

Interment:  Memorial Park Cemetery
