Obituary of Ashley Savannah Turner

Ashley Savannah Turner, age 36, known to family and close friends as "Addy", passed away from this life on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.  Ashley was born on November 7, 1987, in Lima, Ohio to Anita E. Turner and Mack L. Cooks, Sr.  Both parents preceded her in death.

Ashley attended Lima Senior High School and was currently taking courses online to obtain her diploma.  She worked various jobs at Lima Memorial Hospital and Circle K.  She was also a home health aide.  Ashley enjoyed life and loved spending time with her family.  She loved cooking and enjoyed going out of town and having fun.

Ashley leaves to cherish her precious memory:  2 daughters:  E'niyah C. Ward and Dazzure' R. Turner, both of Lima, Ohio.  6 sisters:  Wendy (Carrington Armstead) Turner, Audra Cooks, Sharma Cooks, Lori Cooks, and Ellayshai Cooks, all of Lima, OH; and Tyronn Shears of Charleston, S.C.  6 brothers:  Aaron (Leslie) Hutchins of Lima, OH; William "Cisco" Benjamin of Lima, OH; Antonio Jackson of St. Louis, MO; Delvon Johnson of Lima, OH; Damion Carter of Lima, OH; and Mack Cooks, Jr. of Lima, OH.  A favorite niece: Carrtier Armstead and nephews:  Carrington and Christian Armstead.  An uncle:  David Turner and an aunts:  Glenda Foster, Corinna (Ira) Cunningham, and Ruth Hamilton.  A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Ashley was preceded in death by 1 sister:  Olivia Washington; and 3 brothers:  Derrick Turner, James Johnson, and Ricky Jackson.  Maternal grandparents:  Luke and Earline Turner and Paternal grandparents:  Aaron Manley and Lillian Darby.

Home Going Services will be held Tuesday, June 18 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Arnold Manley Officiating.

Visitation/Wake services will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service, also at the church.

Interment:  Woodlawn Cemetery
