Mrs. Angela Gaines, age 65, passed from this life on Monday, September 22, 2025, at approximately 6:50  p.m. at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.

She was born on February 4, 1960 in Lima, Ohio to  Joseph L. Manley, Sr. and Mildred Williams, both parents preceded her in death.

On November 14, 2009 Mrs. Gaines was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Rowan Gaines, he preceded her in death on February 2, 2010.

Mrs. Gaines worked for 17 years at the Cookie Factory in McComb, OH.  She was a member of St. Mark's Methodist Church where she worked in the kitchen. She loved to cook and get together with family.  She was also a faithful volunteer  at the Food Bank.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory a son; James D. Gaines of Lima.  2 daughters; LaToyria S. Williams and Keona R. Harris both of Lima.  2 grandchildren.  4 brothers; Ronald L.Manley of Columbus. Gerald K. Manley (Michelle) of Lima. Maurice M. Manley (Tana) of Pickerington, OH and Gregory Manley (Tracy) of Detroit, MI.  3 sisters; Cheryl E. Gilcrease (Ronnie), Alisa M. Noel and Tatita Nigh (Scott) all of Lima. Beloved fiancé; Doug Whitfield of Lima, OH. 4 aunts; Eloise Allen and Essie M. Cotton both of Lima. Catherine Williams and Carolyn    Allen (Albert) both of Chicago, IL. 2 uncles; Depree Manley and Robert Manley, Sr. both of Lima. 2 special cousins; Carolyn Tisdale and Shantell Allen. A host of cousins, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by 4 brothers; Gregory Sims, Joe L. Manley, Jr., Christopher S. Baugh, Shawn R. Manley.  Her step-father; Charles H. Nichols.

Services will be held Friday, October 3, 2025  at 12:00 p.m. at St. Marks Methodist Church with Pastor Ted Bible, officiating.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the services also at the church.

Interment:  Woodlawn Cemetery
