Amari Rashad Gooding, age 20, passed from this life on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at St. Rita's Medical Center.

He was born on February 2, 1996 in Lima, Ohio to George Elliott, Jr. and Crystal Faith Gooding; both his parents survive in Lima.

Amari was employed at DTR Industries in Bluffton, Ohio.  He was a 2015 graduate of Elida High School where he was a standout Nose Guard and Middle Linebacker on the Football Team.  He was a member of Cornerstone Harvest Church where he volunteered in the sound department and was a member  of the G-Force Outreach Ministries.

Besides his loving parents, Amari leaves to cherish his precious memory a brother; Deiondray M. Martin of Columbus, Ohio.  His maternal grandmother; Joanne Gooding of Lima.  Paternal grandmother;  Donella Darby of Washington, D.C. A host of cousins, aunts, uncles other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather; James Potter and his paternal grandfather; George Elliott, Sr.

Services will be held on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Harvest Church with  Rev. David Roberts, officiating.

Visitation/Wake will held on Monday, October 17, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. also at the Church.
