Obituary

Abraham Goode, Sr., age 58, who transitioned from this life into eternal rest on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 7:01 a.m. at Care Core Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Abraham was born on December 7, 1967, in Hurtsboro, Alabama, to the union of Calvin James Goode and Bessie Lee (Lewis) Goode.

On June 27, 2023, Abraham united in marriage with the love of his life, his leading lady, and the star of his eyes, Angela Williams. Together they shared a beautiful bond built on love, companionship, and devotion.

Abraham confessed Christ at New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. C. M. Manley.

Abraham found his great joy in spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren, who brought endless happiness to his life. In fact, one of his final conversations was about them, a testament to the special place they held in his heart. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor and had a gift for making everyone around him laugh with his jokes and infectious personality. During his leisure time, Abraham enjoyed admiring classic old-school cars and had a remarkable connection with dogs, earning the affectionate nickname of the "dog whisperer" because he never seemed to meet a stranger human or canine.

Abraham leaves to cherish his precious memories his devoted and loving wife, Angela Goode of Lima, Ohio; four children, Shaquan M. Goode, Abraham Good, Jr., Abrial M. Goode, and Niashia M. Goode, all of Lima, Ohio; and five grandchildren, whom he loved beyond measure and thought the world of.

He also leaves to mourn his passing his loving mother, Bessie Lee Goode of Hurtsboro, Alabama; his brothers, Curtis J. Goode of Atlanta, Georgia, Calvin L. Goode of Lima, Ohio, Kenny Goode and Jeff Goode both of Hurtsboro, Alabama; and his sisters, Denise Goode of Phenix City, Alabama, and Doris Goode of Hurtsboro, Alabama; one special cousin Terrance “Peanut” Manley of Lima, Ohio, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Abraham was preceded in death by his father, Calvin James Goode.

Though our hearts are saddened by his passing, we find comfort in knowing that Abraham's legacy of love, laughter, faith, and kindness will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him. His warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten.

Services celebrating the life and legacy of Abraham Good, Sr. will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Philippian Missionary Baptist Church at 12:00p.m. Public viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the time of the funeral service.
