Mr. Robert Lee Edward Morris, age 79, passed from this life on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at approximately 2:58 p.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born on November 2, 1937 in Griffin, Georgia to the union of Howard Benjamin and Eleanor (Cook) Morris; both parents preceded him in death.

On November 5, 2012 he was united in holy matrimony to Junitha Jones, she survives in Lima, Ohio.

Mr. Morris retired from Ford Motor Company after 45 years of service where he worked as an Oiler; he was a member of Local Union 1274.  He was a member of Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church.

Besides his loving wife Junitha, he leaves to cherish his precious memory 2 sons; Frederick L. Ward Morris of Atlanta, GA and Maurice L. Morris of Lima.  5 daughters; Lasondra K. Morris (Wilbert Dillingham) of Lima.  Carol J. Smith of Goodyear, AZ, Robin R. Morris of Columbus OH and Treasa E. Morris of Indianapolis, IN and Nikki L. Humphries (Louis) of Atlanta, GA. 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.  A sister; Shirlee J. Culpepper (Reginald) of Dublin, GA. 

He was preceded in death by a daughter; Lisa Arrick,  a grandson; Johnnie Lee Smith, III, a sister; Ada Roach and a brother; James R. Morris.

Home going services will be held Friday, July 21, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Toney, officiating.

Visitation/wake services will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
