           Mrs. Otis Lovonia Boddie, age 86, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at    approximately 9:59 a.m. at her daughter’s residence in Columbus, Ohio.

           Mrs. Boddie was born on September 24, 1931 in Florence, Alabama to the union of Otha D. and Winnie Mae (Thompson) Lovelace, Sr.; both parents have preceded her in death.

On September 23, 1950 she was united in   holy matrimony to Smith Morris Boddie, Jr.; he  preceded her in death on March 10, 1981.

Mrs. Boddie previously worked as a cook at Azzarello’s and Old Barn Out Back Restaurants for many years.  She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church where she a member of the Willing Workers.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory 3 sons;  Earl C. Boddie and Morris O. Boddie both of Lima.  Rev. Leonard W. Boddie (Mary E.) of Brandon, Miss.  2 daughters;  Bertha L. Boddie Dukes and Janice S. Boddie both of Columbus, OH.  14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. 4 brothers;  George A. Lovelace of Lima. Lawrence W. Lovelace (Sallie) of Waukegan, IL, Ellis Lovelace (Glenda) of Florence, AL and James Lovelace (Ramona) of Detroit, MI.  Four sisters; Ethel P. Turner of Indianapolis, IN.  Elizabeth Brown (William) of Lima, Ohio.  Winnie Simpson of Mt. Clemons, MI and Gloria J. Harrington (James) of Shelby Twp., MI.  A daughter of the heart; Roslyn Parker of Lima.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers;  William R. Lovelace and Otha D. Lovelace, Jr.  A sister; Mary F. Williams.
