Mrs. Ollie Bell Henry, age 100, passed from this life on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at approximately 5:05 a.m. at Burton Ridge Nursing Home.
She was born on July 4, 1918 in Elberton, Georgia to the union of John and Jean (Gross) Harris; both parents preceded her in death.
She was united in holy matrimony to Theodis Henry who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Henry retired as the Head Chef at MCL Cafeteria. She was a member of Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board, McGee Missionary Society and the Kitchen Committee.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory a son; Dennis Henry (Theresa) of Lima. 3 daughters; Joann Fleming (James), Julia Nunez (Santos) and Deborah S. Dent all of Lima. 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death 2 sons; John R. Fleming and David L. Henry. 2 daughters; Martha Doughty and Rebecca A. Jean Louis. 4 brothers; Fletcher Harris, Roosevelt Harris, Elijah Harris and James Monroe Harris. 4 sisters; Julia Heard, Grace Harper, Ethel Sanders and Martha Harris.
Home Going Services will be held Friday, November 2, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Nathan Madison, officiating.
Visitation/Wake will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. Chapel from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. where the family will be present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
