James Michael Scales

James Michael Scales, age 69, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at approximately 4:15 a.m. at Martinsburg VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

He was born on October 18, 1948 in Lima, Ohio  to Stanley Morgan Scales and Murdis Woodley.  His father is deceased and his mother Murdis Woodley Hall is also deceased.

Mr. Scales formerly worked at Ford Motor Company.  He was a veteran of the United States Army.  He loved to read and was a collector of many books.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory, a son; Demetrius White and a daughter; Ieshia White both of Akron, Ohio.  4 brothers; Ricky Scales, Jackie Scales, Willie Scales and Eric Hall all of Lima, Ohio.  6 sisters; Linda Houston (Leroy), Sheril Youngblood (Howard), Kay Dilworth (Joe), Jill Scales, Lawreena Savage and Teresa Hall all of Lima.  2 best friends; Victor Walker of West Virginia and Bill Ray Wall of Lima.

He was preceded in death by a brother; David Goins

Home going services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. Greater Christ Temple with Elder Tedford Cory,  officiating.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 12:00 p.m. also at the Church.

Burial will be in Dayton National Cemetery
