Hattie Eloise Johnson

Mrs. Hattie (Eloise)  Johnson, age  81, passed from this life on Monday, September 17, 2018 at approximately 4:24 p.m.  at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

She was born on November 25, 1936 in Rutherford, Alabama to Lindsey and Hattie (Wiggins) Mark, Sr.; both parents preceded her in death.

She worked as a Home Health Aid and was a member of Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board.

She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Charles Herbert Johnson, Sr. who preceded her in death on October 18, 2012.

She  leaves to cherish her precious memory 2 sons; Tommie Lee Johnson (Patricia) of Lima and Charles Herbert Johnson, Jr. of  Columbus OH.  2 daughters; Lugenie “Linda” Manley (Depree) of Lima and Tanisha Sheron Russell of Dayton.  6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  4 sisters;  Alberta Irons of Lima.  Addie Mae Rumph (J C),  Elizabeth Peterson and  Rosa Mark ll of Ft. Myers, Florida.  3 brothers-in-law; Randy Johnson (Brenda), Jack Johnson (Evelyn) and Raymond Johnson all of Lima.  Sisters-in-law; Sharon Proby (Bobby) and Brenda Johnson.  A host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by 6  sisters; Alma J. Pugh, Catherine Dixon, Lugenie Wilkerson, Cleola Lyles, Lillie Bell Mark and Leola Davis.  4 brothers; Lawrence Mark, Lindsey Mark, Jr., Milton Mark and Leroy Mark. A brother-in-law; Carl Johnson.  

Home going services will be held Friday, September 28, 2018 at 12:00 p.m.   at Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Toney, officiating.

Visitation/Wake will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 12:00 p.m. also at the church.

Interment:  Woodlawn Cemetery
