Schakia Lasean Yates age 37 received her Crown on Sunday March 3, 2024 at 6:09am. Kia was born March 14, 1986 in Lima, Ohio to Kevin E Hudson and Beverly R Yates.

She attended school in Lima, Ohio. Kia was very active with several organizations. Kia will be remembered for her encouraging words, sweet nature, and loving spirit. She had a deep love for children, family, and dedicated herself and time to helping and supporting businesses and anyone she could. Her energetic and kind demeanor left a lasting impact on those she encountered.

Kia faced challenges and made mistakes, but her true essence showed through as a good-hearted person, who cared deeply for others. Her legacy of love, compassion, and advocacy for helping others will continue to inspire those who knew her.

Her memories will live on through her family, Father: Kevin Hudson of TN, Sister: Morgan Yates of Lima, OH, Grandfather: Nathaniel Yates of Lima, OH, Grandmother:  Norma Stone of Marion, IN, Fiancée: Brandi Fort of Lima, OH, Honorary children: Lauren, Jharell, Jhameer, & Mercedes of Lima, OH, God Children KJ & Da’Kyja, Neice: Kamiah Yates & Nephew: Blayne Yates of Lima, OH, Her Faves: Inisha Williams of AL, Nakia Richardson of PA, Donitha Ward of IN,  Tionna Bland of IN and her Fed Babies Family. A host of cousins, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her Mother Beverly Yates. Grandmother Delores Cotton Yates,              and Grandfather William Hudson.
