Mrs. Pearl Johnson, age 85, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 15, 2016 at approximately 3:47 p.m. at her residence in Lima surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on March 11, 1931 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the union of Wilbur and Velma Lott Davis; both parents preceded her in death.
On June 5, 1954 she was united in holy matrimony to Wilbur E. Johnson who preceded her in death on May 16, 1994.
Mrs. Johnson retired as a Counselor for Northwest Mental Health Agency and Family Planning Services. She was a former member of Kibby Street Church of Christ and was a current member of West Side Church of Christ. She was a Blue Star Mother and worked the polls at Whittier School. She was on the Board of Northwestern Health Partners of Ohio. Mrs. Johnson enjoyed being a Foster Mother and helping anyone she could. She was a loving Mother and a genuinely caring person.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory, 2 sons; Emerson D. Johnson (Rosella) and Mark A. Johnson (Sharon) both of Lima. A daughter; Carolyn Brown (Houston) of Dallas, TX. 6 Grandchildren: Albert E. Brown (Tawnya), Angela M. Hicks (Tyrone), Rachael M. Brown, Jonathan M. Johnson (Jessica), Emerson Demetrius Johnson and Alexander Johnson. 7 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. 2 brothers; Marion Davis of Dayton, OH and Maurice Davis of Baytown, TX. 4 sisters; Marica Carter and Linda Jenkins both of Lima. Bonita Buford (Rodney) of Baytown, TX. Rosalyn Robinson of Lake City, FL.
She was preceded in death by a brother; Wilbert Buxton.
