Mr. John B. Miles, Sr., age 92, passed from this life on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 1:50 a.m. at Lima Manor Nursing Home.

He was born on April 9, 1925 in Russell County, Alabama to John Burr and Sophie Miles; both parents preceded him in death.

He was united in holy matrimony on April 21, 1941 to Wylean King who preceded him in death on September 28, 1996.

Mr. Miles worked for the Ohio Laborers Union in Construction.  He was a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.  He loved to hunt, fishing and attending to his garden.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory, 3 sons; John B. “Jake” Miles, Jr. (Ebony), Larry C. Miles (Ann) and Joe N. Miles (Julia) all of Lima.  2 daughters; Christine Howard of Austin, TX and Delores Pittman (William) of Lima.  9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.  A brother; Joe Miles (Julia) of Lima.  2 sisters; Liza Murry of Seale, AL and Annie Cunningham of Buffalo, NY.

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers; David Miles and Cleveland Miles.  2 sisters; Alice Allen and Ophelia Pruitt.

Services will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Arnold Manley, officiating.

Visitation/wake services will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at  Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
