Mr. James Willis Jones, age  69 , passed from this life on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at approximately 4:00 a.m. at his residence in Lima, Ohio.

He was born on October 7, 1947 in Birmingham, Alabama to the union of Cleveland and Cora Lee (Travis) Jones; both parents preceded him in death.

He was united in holy matrimony on June 20, 1966 to Mattie B. (McNeal) Jones, she survives in Lima.

Mr. Jones was a Construction Worker for U.A.W. Local 329.  He was a member of Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church.

Besides his loving wife Mattie, he leaves to cherish his precious memory 7 sons; James A. Jones (Shirley) of Columbus, Ohio.  Tommy L. Jones (Glenda), Demond Jones and Willie J. James all of Lima.  David Jones (Kathy) of Beaverdam, OH.  Quincy Jones of Toledo, Ohio and Kevin Jones (Angela) of Bowling Green, OH.  2 daughters;  Velma Scott (Willie C.) and Angela Jones both of Lima.  17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  2 sisters;  Diane Griffith (Arthur) of Lima.  Patricia Thomas (Rev. Melvin) of Birmingham, AL.  3 children of the Heart;  Toby Milligan, Twana Milligan and Tammy Milligan all of Lima.

He was preceded in death by a son;  Jerome Jones.  A sister; Queenie Mae Jones and a brother;  Willie Lee Jones.

Services will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Robert Toney, officiating.

Visitation/Wake services will be held at 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 12:00 p.m. also at the Funeral Home. 

Interment:  Memorial Park Cemetery
