Mr. Donald Ramsey, Sr., age 74, passed from this life on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at approximately 1:25 a.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima. 

Mr. Ramsey was born on Lima, Ohio on July 6, 1942 to Theodore and Dorothy (Vaughn) Ramsey, Sr.; both parents preceded him in death.

On March 2, 1994 he met up with Ms. Mary Mays (the love of his life), they were together for 22 years, she survives in Lima.

Mr. Ramsey was a Chef for many  years, then he was a window washer for Ohio Window cleaning.  He loved fishing, and was so sad when he could not go any more.  He also loved sitting out on the porch with friends.

 He leaves to cherish his precious memory 3 sons;  Donald Ramsey, Jr. of Bellefontaine, OH.  Ronald Ramsey and Monroe Ramsey  of Knoxville, TN and a step-daughter; Norma Jean of Columbus, OH.   A brother; Frederick Ramsey of Lima.  Aunt; Madeline  Haithcock and an Uncle; Percy Edwards, Jr. (Geraldine ) both of Lima. He was loved by everyone and would do anything for you.

He was preceded in death by 2 sons;  Stefon Spence and Victor Ramsey.  2 Brothers:  Theodore Ramsey Jr. and Marshall Ramsey.

Services will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Jones-Clark Funeral Home, Inc.

Visitation/Wake services will be held at 10:00 a.m. until time of services, also at the Funeral Home. 

Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery
